The barn owl watching in the late inky night. We have these barn owls that roost in our trees at night and I love to listen and watch them. I did the background in an acrylic wash that reminds me of the inky feel of the sky at night. I used colored pencils for the fencepost and then markers for the owl. I like mixing the different medias to creat varied looks. I love his design and using different shapes to create direction of the feathers.

My name is Susie Marks Weber and I was born and raised in Ozona, Texas. I had a great childhood and was introduced by my mom at an early age to nature and wildlife.
